Two routes, four exercises

curso.ai is in beta. ChatGPT has two standalone exercises. Minigame I and II continue to form a separate route.

Minigame I

You are going to create a small game with just a few sentences. You do not need to know how to code. You will see that the assistant takes care of the rest and understands you quite well. We will use this game again afterwards.

Continue in this same conversation.
In the following text block, click the button to add it to the chat. You can also type it or copy it manually:

Make a web game called "Catch the circle". When the circle is clicked, it moves and one point is added. There is a 10-second timer.

(Optional) If the message box offers a reasoning selector, you can choose how much reasoning will be used. Less reasoning usually finishes sooner. With more reasoning, it can spend more time and pay closer attention to the result. For this exercise, you can choose low reasoning.
Press ENTER or the ⬆️ arrow to send the message. Creating and testing the game may take several minutes. It is fine if it takes a little while, let it finish. Do not worry yet about the different models and the other options that appear.

If this is your first time using this experience, it may ask for permission or prepare a safe workspace. You can accept and continue. We will look at this later.
When it finishes, it will probably show you a card or a link to open the game. Open it from there.
Play for a little while if you want to test it. We will use it as a base afterwards.

Expected results

You should be able to play a very simple video game made from what you asked for, with a restart button, a countdown, and so on. It may first generate an image as a draft and then create a game that looks more or less like it.

If something happens to fail, ask it to fix it.

Optional challenge

Change the overall color scheme or personalize it with something more complex: For example, continue the conversation with:

Change everything to greener colors

Something more complex:

Change the circle into an octopus and add an underwater background. When I click it, I want bubbles to appear.

Or perhaps (this may take a while):

Better yet, catch the meteorite with different dinosaur emojis moving along the bottom through a jungle. Instead of points, show thousands of dinosaurs saved, and instead of 10 seconds, count down from the Jurassic in millions of years.

When you want to continue, write `next exercise` in this same conversation. If you would rather keep improving the game, continue the conversation here as normal.

Minigame II

If you have not completed "Minigame I", do it first in this same conversation. The assistant can use its own cursor with your permission. This is very powerful because it can open web pages, help you solve an error, fill in a tedious form, and collaborate with you while showing you what it does. We will make it play your game with @Browser.

Instructions

If you have just completed "Minigame I" here, continue in this same conversation. If you completed it in another one, return to it from the left sidebar.
In the following text block, click the button to add it to the chat. You can also type it or copy it manually:

Open my game in a way that is compatible with @Browser and play one round

We say "compatible" to avoid problems if the game was open as a file, so it will open the game as a web page that the browser can access. You do not need to do anything, it will take care of it.

Expected results

You will see @Browser play inside the browser. A cursor different from yours may appear, although sometimes the clicks will be so fast that you will barely see it. It is also normal for it to click a few times, pause to look at what happened, and continue. At the moment, it will most likely score lower than you... for now!

@Browser lets ChatGPT Work or Codex use the built-in browser you are looking at. More advanced computer use is available through tools such as @Computer Use, which you can allow to control applications in general. There is also @Chrome for that browser, and we will look at it later.

Optional challenge

Play together. Continue the conversation with:

Modify the game so that there are multiple targets for me to click in one color and others for you in another color. Add a scoreboard for each of us and extend the round to 20 seconds.

When it finishes, continue with:

Let us play together. You go first.

You may need to coordinate a little. If it gets stuck, say so normally and try again. You will probably keep winning, although it may go into rapid-fire mode and beat you.

If you have already played at the same time and see a lightning bolt in the available selector, you can try turning it on for another round. It may make the assistant act faster, although this is not guaranteed. Because this uses more of your usage allowance, remember to turn the lightning bolt off when you finish.

A poem about something really weird

A shampoo bottle does not seem like material for a poem. That is exactly why this works: you are going to photograph any object and see how ChatGPT finds something poetic in it.

Instructions

Photograph any everyday object near you. A shampoo bottle, some keys, or a toaster will work perfectly.
In ChatGPT, tap the `+` button, add the photo, and write:

Write a short poem inspired by this photo. Use a specific detail from what you can see.

Read the poem and identify which detail from the photo it used.
You can also do this without a photo. For example, write:

Write a short poem about a toaster.

Expected results

ChatGPT should write a short poem based on the object. If you used a photo, it should use at least one visible detail. If it interprets the object incorrectly, say so and ask for another version.

Optional challenge

Ask for a second version with a completely serious or completely absurd tone.

Reply using only emojis

A familiar story can be told without a single word. This exercise lets you see whether ChatGPT recognizes what matters and can express it in a different way.

Instructions

Choose a film, book, or story you know well.
Write something like:

Tell me The Lord of the Rings using only emojis. No words.

Expected results

You should receive a sequence of emojis representing moments from the chosen story. Some may be a little ambiguous.

Optional challenge

Ask for another version with much more detail.

Ask for another using only 3 emojis.
